- Project Name: Enabling Community for Protection of the Human Rights of Marginalized People Including
- Donor: Taiwan Foundation for Democracy , Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), Manab Unnayan Kendra (MUK).
- Program Period : January 2024 – September 2024
- Working Area: Amjhupi and Baradi Union Area (Amjhupi Daspara, Shiekhpara Halderpara and Baradi Daspara, Mominpur Kumorpara , Rajnogor Rishipara)
- Target Beneficiary : Marginalized People specially from Lower Cast Hindu Community and Others Oppress People.
- Project Objective :
1) Dalit children have greater access at educational institutions;
2) Dalit Communities are accepted by community at large;
3) Dalit women are empowered at local government intuitions;
- Achievement :
- To address the above challenge, Dalit communicated repeatedly through different individuals to concern to make them convinced and finally got cooperation from all and the event went well.
- Unity building and mobilization of various dalit communities was great opportunities to building network with larger platforms.
- Joint journey and initiatives of civil society citizen leaders and dalit community was making stronger the advocacy initiatives.
- Problem and needs identification process conducted by dalit community was helpful to present the authentic community situation to MUK authority and like service providers that’s build trust between service providers and demand sides.
- Government body and local media focus on dalit issue that’s creates opportunities for dalit society in increase representation and participation.
